Systematic Discipleship

Our Systematic Discipleship Program is designed so that your purpose becomes clear, being better able to fulfill God’s will for your life. To help you develop and grow into your personal calling, securely founded on God’s Word.

In Acts 26:18, the apostle Paul explains part of his role as a teacher:
“to open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God…..”

Our students are guided through a program which begins by assuming nothing about them, not even their Salvation. The reasoning behind this being introduced into the program results from having had many experiences of so-called Christians who believe that they have obtained Salvation whereas the truth is that they have not. This has even been found in preachers or pastors of churches who stand in front of a congregation and are leading their charges, their sheep, down a pathway which is  false and most certainly inaccurate. Even to the point of destruction. So, the only way to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to know, beyond any doubt, that they are truly saved is to teach them by beginning at the beginning. The way that Jesus taught, and in which Paul emanated Jesus. Paul taught in simple, yet revealing, lessons based on a solid foundation of the Word of God, guided by the Holy Spirit and not the interpretations of man.

Should you decide to become a part of Our Systematic Discipleship Program, you will very quickly learn that salvation is not just qualifying for a place in heaven. Along with this wonderful gift there comes a sincere request, and to some, a command – It is often been referred to as The Great Commission:
And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.

Within these few verses of Scripture is the invitation into ministry, and we are all called, in one way or another, to serve God. Whether that be in worldwide evangelism or sweeping floors. By our very acts, we are able to show the love of God and to create opportunities whereby unbelievers or the unsaved can receive the benefits of salvation and the real life of eternity that God has set aside for those who receive His invitation. However, within the invitation is the calling upon each of us who are believers, to attain the fulfillment of God’s will for our individual lives that he set aside before we were even born.

So, what is the purpose behind our Systematic Discipleship Program? And why “Eagles Wings Ministry”?

Eagles Wings Ministry – There are many metaphors about eagles, and each is worth regarding, but one of the most encouraging things that anyone can achieve is to reach the height that they are called to reach. Eagles are the highest flying of all birds. They rise high above the storms and live long lives.

One of our base Scriptures is Isaiah 40:31 – But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

The Eagle’s Wings Ministry Systematic Discipleship Program sets out to achieve guidance for the student, the disciple, so that each is able to attain the highest height at which they wish to fly by teaching, as any good program should, beginning with the ABC’s and 123’s.

Remember this:

“Wisdom is the right use of knowledge. To know is not to be wise. Many men know a great deal, and are all the greater fools for it. There is no fool so great a fool as a knowing fool. But to know how to use knowledge is to have wisdom.”
― Charles H. Spurgeon

Study Preparation Tools

There are certain tools that you might find of great value when you set out on your studies.

1. The most important item you will need is a copy of a good King James edition of the Bible. Either the Standard Edition or the New King James Version are ideal as they are the most accurate when Scripture is being referred to. You can further enhance your references by obtaining a copy of the Amplified Bible, which does what the title says and accurately expands upon the King James Version(s).

Do Not Bother with copies of some minister’s personal rendition of the Bible. At best, they are nothing more than a copy of the same King James version but with little more than the minister’s name added to the cover – perhaps, gold embossing added to infer greater value.

Ensure that your copy has cross-references in the margins. These will help guide you towards other linked or dual references to other Scriptures.

2. A concise Concordance is a must, as this really will both enhance your studies and help you discover the whereabouts in the Bible of any specific Scripture you are seeking.

3. A Concise Dictionary of the Bible will also be invaluable to you as it will contain more explanations of some words of the Bible but, in a much more expanded form.

(It is possible to purchase a combined edition featuring a Concordance and Dictionary in a single volume. Most Christian bookstores will carry them in stock)

4. One further addition to your study references should be a book of  Biblical Maps. There are editions that offer a “Then & Now” content where you are able to make comparisons of how the biblical regions between the times of our Lord and the present differ. These map books are quite enlightening when you study them. Especially where they include maps of the actual journeys taken by the Lord and various other significant characters from the Bible.

  • God’s call is to each of us.

  • We must teach the next generation.

  • We are commissioned to make disciples.

  • True disciples will be the fruit that remains

Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.   (John 15:16)
