I Don’t Care!
When someone says “I don’t care,” they are usually making a statement about a conversation which has the potential to become confrontational. Perhaps they have reached a point where they really don’t care about the situation and want to shut it down. Does not want to get involved.
It is a right, and being courteous, one should not proceed any further. Hence, “I don’t care!” So, the conversation should be dropped.
If somebody did care, they could be making a sacrifice for somebody else. A gift to someone who may be incapable of carrying that burden. Someone who could not overcome it, someone who does not have the knowledge or the ability, strength or the wherewithal to do so for a burden that might not have been theirs in the first place.
Sometimes burdens can seem overwhelming to an individual who may not be able to cope with that burden. It is often said that caring, is like having a weight on your shoulders and whatever that weight might be, it will become something that will slow you down or stop you from completing something. The greater the weight, the more taxing a burden becomes upon the individual trying to cope with it. Sometimes, a burden can be so great that it brings you to a halt. Brings you to your knees, it would have the same effect as overloading your mule. You may no longer be able to proceed and could collapse under the weight of it.

We’ve all heard it said that some people “don’t have a care in the world!” Wouldn’t that be great! It could be said that you have your own caretaker! Even better if you didn’t have to pay them! Even better, if they knew what the problem was, that the caretaking could be ahead of time. That person would be a phenomenal best friend. Someone who would not just help you carry the load, but would take all of it from you, walking with you. Well, all of us have a caretaker, but not all of us are aware of the extent of his servitude.
Let me introduce you to the best caretaker you could ever wish for. His name is Jesus, and this is what He says about you and your cares, your burdens:-
“Come to me, all of you who are weary and loaded down with burdens, and I will give you rest.
Place my yoke on you and learn from me, because I am gentle and humble, and you will find rest for your souls,
because my yoke is pleasant, and my burden is light.” (Matthew 11:28-30)
No cares! I have no cares when I give them to Jesus! When I take His yoke upon me. I truly do not have to care about anything; so, I can honestly say, “I don’t care!”
