I Don’t Care – Extended Teaching

I have no cares, because I don’t have to have them, and I certainly don’t want them! Researching the Word reveals a significant aspect of the Atonement, which is the removal of all our burdens. All of them!“Therefore, humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, so that at the proper time he may exalt you.
Throw all your worry on him, because he cares for you.” (1st Peter 5:6-7)

For he cares for you! He cares for and loves you. He cares on your behalf, and doing so takes away the worry. Worry is another one of those weapons that Satan tries to use against us. All of his weapons are designed to steal, kill and destroy.

To steal the Word from you, and its truth, meaning the revelations of its power as the all powerful weapon of God. To kill you either by a physical death through any means, or the weakening, killing of your faith in His Word. It destroys you, or to destroy your ability to complete your purpose which the Lord has given you.

When you give your burdens, your cares, your worries or concerns, over to the Lord, emotional blackmail is also taken away and replaced by the caring for others, the love for them, just as Jesus does every single day. You become free to be!

Check out Psalm 139

To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. O LORD, thou hast searched me, and known me.
Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off.
Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways.
For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O LORD, thou knowest it altogether.
Thou hast beset me behind and before, and laid thine hand upon me.
Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain unto it.
Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence?
If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there.
If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea;
Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me.
If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me; even the night shall be light about me.
Yea, the darkness hideth not from thee; but the night shineth as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to thee.
For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother’s womb.
I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.
My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.
Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.
How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them!
If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: when I awake, I am still with thee.
Surely thou wilt slay the wicked, O God: depart from me therefore, ye bloody men.
For they speak against thee wickedly, and thine enemies take thy name in vain.
Do not I hate them, O LORD, that hate thee? and am not I grieved with those that rise up against thee?
I hate them with perfect hatred: I count them mine enemies.
Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts:
And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.

But beware!

Remember what Jesus said: The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. (John 10:10)

Jesus was warning us in telling you and I to identify yourself in Christ, knowing that, no matter what, you can defend and overcome the attacks of the enemy. When you employ your faith in the word of God will always be the overcomer and not the victim.

What we fail, we don’t have to overcome the accusations from Satan that we are not good enough. All of us are a work progress and that is also part of what Jesus came to show us. Part of the Atonement. Satan can only threaten you by attacking your thoughts, your mind which is why we are instructed to renew our minds.

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. (Romans 12:2)

Satan is an egoist. He will try and Lord over you using any and every tactic that he can and another of these attempts is to try and convince you that he has greater power that you. Yet another lie!

Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. (1st John 4:4)

Casting, Your Cares (Your Burdens).

Jesus tells us to cast our cares upon Him. However, many people won’t to do this because of uncertainty which, in turn, was down to fear. We can quote Scripture all day long, but if we don’t have our confidence in it, there is likelihood that it will not have the desired results. Again, this comes back to the same thing, fear. We know that this is one of Satan’s primary weapons that he likes to use against us. Doubt, lack of confidence all our down to the same thing – fear! But, God already knows this and has prepared us with His Word.

For God hath not given us the spirit of  fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.  (2 Timothy 1:7)

So, the casting down of your cares, so that you can say “I don’t care!” is learning a simple procedure and employing it whenever the enemy tosses you a care:

Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; (2 Corinthians 10:5)

The Process you undertake:

Acknowledging that you no longer have a spirit of fear. (2 Timothy 1:7)

Live a disciplined thought life.

Renewing your mind. Satan will always try and offer you wrong thinking, but it is your choice. A troubled mind brings torment.

Do not receive Satan’s wrong thoughts! They will only bring fear and doubt.

Fight and become transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God – using the Word. Your “Sword of the Spirit” (Romans 12:2)
